How to read these pages
Federal court research tools fall into three groups. Free archives like CourtListener give you filings that somebody has already purchased and donated. Docket services like PacerMonitor and Docket Alarm resell access to PACER with better search and alerting. Data platforms like UniCourt and Trellis normalize records across many courts so software, not just people, can use them.
PacerPlus sits in the second group and adds an AI layer: $199.99 a month for unlimited federal searches, 150 PACER pages, 10 PacerAlerts, judge analytics, and plain-English answers about what a filing says. It searches federal civil and criminal district cases plus appellate matters. It does not cover state courts or bankruptcy dockets, and it is not a case law research suite.
